I want up!

Natalia was working her way around the dining room trying her luck at standing once again. She made it to her knees holding on the way she was she was not going to make it.
It wasn't quite as obvious to her she had to take a fall & bump to the head to decide to move on.

She went to the highchair next and tried and tried and tried and still only made it to her knees.

Time with Grandma

One of the things Natalia loves best is being with people who love her very much. Grandma lets her try things mom would never let her try. She also encourages more movement like crawling and walking. I would perfer that she just sit there happily until I am ready for her to move but Grandma and Natalia have divised a plan together to get her running on the beach this summer.

Blueberry Baby

Natalia loves blueberries almost as much as avocados. I think eating frozen foods top her list when she is teething. Blueberries are cold and juicy. If only you could hear the noises she makes while eating them. She goes straight to the tub after eating these. Hopefully she doesn't associate the two or she could stop eating blueberries to avoid the tub.

New barbers in town!

Mom had this crazy idea that it was warm enough for our short hair cuts. Her even crazier idea was that she was not going to make the cut anymore. We would have to trust each other as barbers or grow our hair out the 10 inches required for Locks of Love. Mom drives a hard bargain so we accepted the challenge to become barbers. I was a little nervous so I opted to go first knowing if he screwed up my hair that I could then return the favor.
I decided he did not do such a bad job so I worked hard to get his right. Mom also pays us a buck a haircut if we do a good job and we can cut each others hair once every four weeks. The pressure made us both nervous but I think more so it is the constant itching getting us in the photos. Mom has offered to buy us a cape if we continue to do the hair cuts.
Both of us were pleased with results. We each have both of our ears and there was no loss of blood. We don't look too bad either. We are now open for business! Any takers? Just please don't call us hair dressers or stylists.

Cordelia loves Carebears

Cordelia was playing the other day and asked for some Valentine candy. She wanted lollipops specifically. I gave into her request but told her she had to eat them in the dining room. She toddled off to the living room with my new furniture. I went after her only to discover her walking around holding them to her chest pretending she was Lollipop Bear. Who knew you could play pretend with candy and not eat it.

Milestones

Natalia went from sitting to standing yesterday. I was going through a stray sock bin matching up socks. I wasn't even paying attention to Natalia but she kept grabbing the bin from me. I looked up at who was competing for the bin. When I saw that it was her I just hung on to it a little harder so she couldn't move it. Sure enough the next time I looked up she was face to face with me. I couldn't believe my eyes. She stood for just a second. I think she couldn't believe it either because she fell right over. Unfortunately, I did not get it on film.

Natalia is 8 months old today!

I am trying gram crackers. I really like them and they make me feel big. I sit and watch everyone eat real food and I get upset. It is finally my turn.

I have learned lots of new things in the past month. I can reach almost anything either by scooting or reaching with all my might. I fall on my face quite a bit. That is very frustrating. I am starting to figure out being on my hands and knees. I get up there and rock a little but nothing happens. There must be a trick. I will keep trying. I hope to get it soon. It is a lot of work being this little.
